Driver charged after man dies at football club gathering

A man died and a 20-year-old driver has been charged following an incident at an Osborne football ground on Sunday afternoon. Tigers players had gathered after their club's grand final games the previous day.
The man in his 20s was being towed by a quad bike when he struck a goalpost. People nearby gave first aid, but the man died at the scene.
The quad bike driver was arrested and underwent mandatory testing, then charged with dangerous driving causing death and negligent driving causing death. He was bailed and will appear at Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.
