Thurgoona completes rare undefeated season with dominant grand final win
Thurgoona won the TDFL grand final 71 to 26, capping an entire season without a single loss.
Thurgoona's Bulldogs defeated Yackandandah by 45 points in the grand final on Saturday to complete a season where they did not lose once. The Bulldogs scored 9.17 (71) to Yackandandah's 4.2 (26) at Sandy Creek, ending a home-and-away campaign with minor premiership status intact.
Thurgoona's dominance showed in a percentage over more than 1000 per cent. Fletcher Walsh kicked 84 goals for the season and added three more in the grand final, while Connor Dickson finished with 78 goals and two on the day.
Coach Chad Willis said an all-in brawl against Wahgunyah revealed the team's true character and proved the group was tight-knit enough to win for each other.
