Apple launches HomeView smart display for Australian homes
Apple released HomeView, a seven-inch smart display designed to let you put your phone down at home, starting at $449.
Apple announced HomeView, its first smart display, available for pre-order in Australia from today and shipping November 13. The device costs $449 for the tabletop model and $543.95 for wall-mounted versions.
The seven-inch screen recognises your face and pulls up your personal profile, so everyone in a household gets their own experience. HomeView runs the same A18 chip and security system as iPhones, encrypting all data end-to-end.
You can use it to follow recipes step-by-step, check your calendar, control your smart home, or ask Siri to play a song someone texted you earlier. HomeView works best if you own other Apple devices like an iPhone or iPad.
The device includes parental controls for children under 13.
