Man pleads guilty to stolen-car spree across Victoria and NSW
Anthony Bright, 33, admitted to multiple charges after driving stolen vehicles at high speed while drug-affected across two states.
Anthony Bright pleaded guilty to serious charges spanning Victoria and NSW. Anthony Bright stole an Isuzu D-Max and drove it at high speed from Corowa, where NSW police spiked its tyres.
The vehicle crashed into two cars and travelled along the Murray River before Bright was arrested on the Victorian bank on January 11. In a separate Melbourne incident, he drove a stolen car at 135kmh at Tullamarine.
He was arrested after a 10-minute pursuit and told officers he had used GHB, a drug. Paramedics were called because he was so drug-affected; he was taken to hospital.
Most offending happened while he was on a corrections order. He will be sentenced in October.
