Assange marks fresh start with third child on the way
WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange announced on social media he and wife Stella are expecting their third child.
Assange shared the pregnancy news on X with a photograph of Stella cradling her baby bump, writing that the new life was possible thanks to those who fought for his freedom. Stella also posted separately, thanking campaigners who brought her husband home.
The couple already have two sons, Gabriel and Max. They were secretly conceived while Assange lived inside the Ecuadorian Embassy in London.
Assange returned to Australia in June 2024 after striking a plea deal with US authorities. The deal ended his years-long fight against extradition.
He had spent years in the embassy and later in a UK prison.
