Newcastle Station gets $20m dining and function hub makeover
Newcastle's heritage-listed Station will host four restaurants, cafes, gallery and function spaces serving almost 1000 patrons.
Newcastle Station is a state heritage-listed landmark being restored as a harbourside dining and hospitality precinct. The $20 million project includes four ground-floor restaurant and bar spaces of 157 to 282 square metres, plus a 274-square-metre first-floor function area with kitchen.
The venues feature covered outdoor dining. Ashbridge Capital holds a 99-year lease; Hudson Retail Group leads the leasing campaign.
The precinct could seat almost 1000 patrons and is positioned to become a major drawcard with links to the beach and light rail.
