Celebrity chefs join Newcastle CEOs to raise OzHarvest funds
Celebrity chefs and business leaders cook in Newcastle on October 20 to raise money for OzHarvest food rescue.
Celebrity chefs including Robert Molines, Frank Fawkner and Joey Ingram are taking part in Newcastle's first CEO CookOff on October 20. The event is at Clyde St Arts Precinct in Hamilton North.
Business leaders commit to raising $5,000 each to participate and cook with the chefs. The chefs and business leaders prepare and share meals with people getting food rescue support.
OzHarvest helps 1,500 charities across Australia deliver food to people in need. But 1,600 charities are on the waitlist.
Last month, more than 350,000 people sought food support and more than 74,000 could not be helped.
