Gundagai's Sheridan Street lights up with festival and projections
Gundagai's Festival fills Sheridan Street with music, markets, circus performers and light projections on Friday.
Gundagai is hosting the Festival of Gundagai on Friday. The festival will take over Sheridan Street and Carberry Park for five hours from 4 pm.
The event features live music from local band Deja Groove and high school performers. A Country Makers Market will sell handmade goods, fashion and homewares.
After dark, projections inspired by the Murrumbidgee River and the town's history light up landmark buildings. Cirque Um Navigate sends circus performers roaming through the crowd.
Amusement rides and face painting entertain younger attendees. The NSW Government's Open Streets Program funded the festival with a $121,600 grant.
The event closes streets to cars and draws people to the historic centre.
