Palgrove expands Ultrablack herd with 31,800-hectare Queensland cattle station
Ultrablack cattle producer Palgrove has bought the 31,800-hectare Panhandle station in north Queensland. This is part of a major expansion.
Palgrove is a leading Ultrablack cattle producer. The company has bought Panhandle, a 31,800-hectare property on the Burdekin River near Bowen in far north Queensland.
The station is ready to operate right now. It comes with 2,850 breeding cattle and at least 2,000 younger cattle, plus working infrastructure.
The Simmons family owned the property since 2019. They invested heavily in pasture, fencing, water systems and cattle yards.
The purchase price has not been disclosed. Panhandle drew strong interest from buyers in Queensland, Western Australia and South Australia.
This shows strong demand for large cattle farms with working infrastructure. Palgrove now operates across Queensland and NSW with about 2,000 registered Ultrablack cattle.
