Luke Grimes hasn't spoken to Kevin Costner since Yellowstone exit
Luke Grimes revealed he has not spoken to Kevin Costner since the actor left Yellowstone two years ago.
Grimes, 42, told USA Today he hasn't had contact with Costner since their work together ended. "Not for any other reason other than we are both just busy guys and life moves on," he explained.
Costner, 71, played patriarch John Dutton before his character was killed off in the final season premiere in 2024. Grimes plays Kayce Dutton in the Yellowstone spinoff Marshals.
He said it would be "cool" to have Costner return via flashback but doubted that would happen. Creator Taylor Sheridan revealed in July 2026 that Costner was always intended for only the first three seasons, though he stayed longer.
