Verstappen wins Singapore F1 race, Piastri fifth after puncture
Verstappen also banked two pole positions and the sprint race in the same weekend.
Max Verstappen won the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix under the lights at Marina Bay. Verstappen's win came on his 250th grand prix start.
Australian Oscar Piastri finished fifth after a slow puncture forced him to pit a second time. Piastri still overtook seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton on the final lap.
Piastri said fifth place was the maximum the team could have done today. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc finished second, and Mercedes' Kimi Antonelli was third.
Antonelli could mathematically win his first championship at the next race in Austin, Texas.
