Man charged with threatening ex-partner's family in ACT
A 49-year-old was charged with four counts of aggravated threatening to kill after calls to his ex-partner's mother.
The man allegedly called his former partner's mother last month and repeatedly threatened to kill her, her family, and his ex-partner. Police issued a warrant and stopped his Toyota HiLux on Friday morning in Higgins.
The 49-year-old refused to step out and resisted as officers removed him from the vehicle. A 19-year-old passenger tried to intervene and was also arrested.
The 49-year-old faces Magistrates Court on Saturday with charges including threatening to kill, using a phone service to menace, and resisting police. The passenger was charged with attempting to obstruct a public official.
