Former police officer remanded over threats to pregnant ex-partner
Aaron Morgan, 40, a former police officer providing NDIS support, was remanded in custody after allegedly threatening to kill his pregnant ex-partner.
Aaron Morgan, 40, handed himself in to Wodonga police on Sunday after allegedly making death threats against his heavily pregnant ex-partner and a second person. The court heard Morgan sent her messages on September 6 and 15.
Morgan allegedly told her he would "smash your head in" and said he would kill both her and another man. A magistrate refused bail, meaning Morgan will miss the birth of his child, due in one or two weeks.
The court heard two previous partners had had issues with him. Magistrate Peter Dunn cited pregnancy as a significant risk factor for family violence.
Morgan's behaviour had been escalating.
