Beau Lamarre-Condon bought bags before murdering Sydney couple, court shown CCTV
CCTV footage shows ex-police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon buying a surfboard bag. Days later, he allegedly murdered Jesse Baird and Luke Davies.
Beau Lamarre-Condon is a former NSW police officer. He appeared in Sydney's Supreme Court facing two counts of murder.
The victims are Jesse Baird, 26, and Luke Davies, 29. On February 17, 2024, CCTV footage recorded Lamarre-Condon entering a Decathlon store with a friend.
He walked straight to the surfboard bags. He held one up against his friend's body to see if it was big enough to fit a person.
Prosecutors said he then asked if his friend would fit inside. Two days later, he allegedly shot the couple at Baird's Paddington home using his police service weapon.
He placed one body in the bag he had bought. He returned to buy a second bag for the other victim.
Lamarre-Condon has pleaded not guilty. His defence claims he acted in self-defence.
