Home and Away pioneer Sheila Kennelly dies at 88
Sheila Kennelly has died aged 88. She played Floss McPhee in 188 episodes of Home and Away.
Sheila Kennelly was a British-born actress in 188 episodes of Home and Away. Her best-known role was Floss McPhee, a carnival worker who lived in a caravan.
Kennelly also had roles in Number 96 as the wig-wearing barmaid Norma Whittaker and in Kingswood Country as Rosa, an Italian mother-in-law. Kennelly died at her farm in the Hunter Valley.
Her family and dogs were with her when she died. Television historian Andrew Mercado confirmed her death.
He said she passed the way she had always wanted. Mercado described Kennelly as the last surviving member of a special group of friends from her early television days.
