Man charged with 11 sexual offences returns to Warrnambool court

Christopher Bentham, 24, is back in court on 11 charges. They include stalking and directing sexual activity toward others.

Christopher Bentham appeared in Warrnambool Magistrates Court for a mention hearing. He faced charges of stalking and using communication services to offend.

He also faced charges of directing sexual activity toward multiple people. The 24-year-old is on bail.

His conditions are designed to reduce the risk he will reoffend. A psychological assessment is scheduled for October 28.

Results are expected by mid-November. The court heard he has Fragile X syndrome.

This affects his ability to learn and think. The case will return on December 7.

Bentham was placed on a good behaviour bond in December 2023. He had pleaded guilty to charges.

That involved sending explicit images to a carer over 12 months. Then in July 2024 he pleaded guilty again.

He sent videos from his shower to five women. He used fake Instagram accounts to do this.
