Mortlake farm portfolios worth more than $50m flood the market
Two large farm holdings totalling more than $50 million are being re-listed for sale near Mortlake, western Victoria.
Victoria's rural property market is heating up with big farm portfolios hitting the market in the Mortlake district. Winnidad Pastoral Aggregation, a 2161-hectare property owned by Sarah and James Laws, is back for sale at over $35 million after being listed two years ago.
The property generates cash income from 13 wind turbines. Nearby, Mondilibi and Manooka is a 3230-hectare holding owned by UK and Australian investors through Down Ampney Corporation.
It is being re-marketed by JLL Agribusiness with a price expectation of more than $50 million. Two more institutional farm holdings near Swan Hill and across from Mildura in NSW are also being offered.
The listings signal strong investor appetite for large-scale farm land.
