Fresh appeal in 40-year hunt for Albert Pisani's killer
Victoria Police renewed their appeal for information on Albert Pisani's 1986 murder, unsolved for almost 40 years.
Albert Pisani was last seen on October 10, 1986, near his home in Moe, Victoria, when he visited a bank. Albert Pisani's family wasn't alarmed at first, as he often hitchhiked interstate for days.
Albert Pisani was declared missing after five days with no contact. Eight months later, his remains were found buried in bushland near Driffield, about 20 kilometres away.
Police believe Pisani was involved in a dispute at his workplace, a briquette factory in Morwell, before his death. For four decades, detectives have had no solid lead on who killed him or why.
His mother died in 2016 without learning the truth. A $1 million reward remains on offer for information leading to a conviction.
