Serving NSW constable fined for drink-driving, loses licence
A serving NSW constable tested 0.059 blood alcohol, just above the 0.05 legal limit, and lost his licence.
Traffic officers stopped a vehicle on the Pacific Highway at Wadalba on the Central Coast about 10pm on October 4 for random breath testing. The constable from NSW's Northern Region returned a positive reading.
At Wyong Police Station, a second breath test showed his blood alcohol content at 0.059. The constable's licence was suspended on the spot for three months.
He was issued an infringement notice for low-range drink-driving. NSW Police said the officer's employment status as a constable is now under review.
