Geely's new Monjaro plug-in hybrid SUV lands in Australia mid-2027
Geely confirmed the Monjaro mid-size SUV will arrive in Australia in the first half of 2027 as a plug-in hybrid only.
Geely has locked in Australian launch details for the updated Monjaro, which will arrive in right-hand drive. The SUV will arrive only as a plug-in hybrid, with a 40kWh battery pack offering 170 kilometres of electric-only driving range, paired with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine.
Three trim levels will be available in front or all-wheel drive. Standard features include a 15.4-inch touchscreen, a 25.6-inch head-up display and a power tailgate.
The Monjaro sits above Geely's slightly smaller Starray in the local range and will compete directly with the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson and Kia Sportage. Pricing will be revealed closer to launch, though Geely says it will be competitively priced relative to its equipment.
