17-year-old charged with murder in alleged group party attack
A 17-year-old Inala teen was charged Wednesday with murder over the death of 21-year-old Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch.
A 17-year-old Inala boy was arrested Wednesday and charged with murder in connection with an alleged armed group attack on July 26. The teen is the ninth person charged in the death of 21-year-old Jongkuch Kur Jongkuch.
The victim was critically injured at a gathering in Bahrs Scrub, near Logan, and died six days later from severe head injuries. Police allege the attack followed a plan involving multiple youths armed with various weapons.
The teen appeared in Beenleigh Children's Court Thursday, with his case adjourned to October 12. A murder conviction carries a mandatory life sentence with a 20-year non-parole period.
