Sip 'N' Dine, a new Indian restaurant, hopes to open at Penny Royal adventure park near Launceston on September 26. Owner Amritpal Singh also runs Little Spicy in Mowbray.
His goat curry is marinated 24 hours and cooked four hours with fresh spices. His team hand-makes paneer, which has built a loyal following across Tasmania.
The new venue will replace the closed Alida restaurant. Singh plans an affordable menu mixing Indian and Australian food.
It will appeal to tourists and locals alike, with capacity for 80 to 90 seated guests or up to 200 standing. After opening, the restaurant will serve dinner six days a week (closed Wednesdays) and lunch weekends.
It will expand to seven days when the adventure park reaches peak season.
