Amy Shark to perform at NRL grand final despite past criticism
Amy Shark announced for Sunday's NRL grand final performance just hours after old comments criticising the league for underpaying artists resurfaced.
Amy Shark will perform at Sunday's NRL grand final pre-game entertainment. Old comments she made criticising the league resurfaced the same day.
Last April at an AFL event, she claimed the NRL underpaid music artists and said the league "screws around" performers. Hours after her grand final announcement was revealed, she posted on Instagram.
She shared a video of herself cheering the Brisbane Broncos at a match last year, writing "I love the game, don't believe the noise." The performance line-up includes Screaming Jets, Grinspoon, Peking Duk and Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers.
All performers are donating their fees to Motor Neurone Disease causes in honour of retired Rabbitohs player Jai Arrow, who has the disease.
