Singapore Airlines wins 2026 Skytrax best airline award, Qantas at 12th
Singapore Airlines claimed the world's best airline title for the sixth time based on votes from more than 24.8 million travelers.
Singapore Airlines has won the 2026 Skytrax World Airline Awards, considered aviation's top honour. The Asian carrier beat Qatar Airways (second place) and Cathay Pacific (third).
The accolade is based on a survey of more than 24.8 million travelers who rated over 300 airlines between September 2025 and August 2026. Singapore Airlines also won awards for Best Airline in Asia, World's Best Economy Class, and best economy catering.
The carrier's budget arm, Scoot, claimed Best Long Haul Low-Cost Airline for the sixth year running. For Australians, Qantas has climbed to 12th place, up from 14th last year and 24th in 2024, and won two regional awards.
