Four armed invaders terrorise Kambah family, steal $250 in knife-point raid

Four weapon-armed intruders invaded an apartment in Kambah on 4 March 2025, sent five occupants fleeing or hiding, and terrorised a woman asleep in her bedroom. The group arrived in stolen cars, covered their faces, and armed themselves with baseball bats, a machete, a crowbar, and a hatchet.
Two intruders entered the woman's bedroom, pointed a knife at her, and demanded to know where money was kept. The woman told the intruders of $250 in her drawer, which they took along with a handbag, makeup bag, and mobile phone before police arrived.
Three residents locked themselves in the garage and called emergency services. The fourth fled over a fence.
Ashley Brian Figura, 32, pleaded guilty to burglary and was sentenced to 29 months jail in addition to an existing sentence, bringing his total to 7 years and 5 months with a non-parole period ending in May 2029.
