Search continues for man missing from Smithton

A 47-year-old man named Craig has not been seen since September 26 in Smithton; police are asking the public for help.

Tasmania Police are searching for a 47-year-old man who disappeared from Smithton almost two weeks ago. Craig was last seen around 12:40pm on Saturday, September 26, in the Smithton township.

Police have conducted multiple searches of the area, bushland near the Duck River, and surrounding regions. They've deployed the Westpac Rescue Helicopter, Western Marine, Search and Rescue members, and the SES.

Craig is tall with brown eyes, short grey hair on the sides, and wears reflective sunglasses. He was wearing a yellow and navy high-visibility long-sleeve shirt, dark pants and dark shoes when last seen.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare. Anyone who has seen him or knows where he is should call police on 131 444.
