Swimmer killed by shark off Sorrento: body not found
A man died after being bitten by a shark at Sorrento Beach in Perth on Friday. His body has not been recovered.
A swimmer was killed in a shark attack at Sorrento Beach in Perth's north on Friday. The incident happened at about 10:30am.
The swimmer died from shark bite injuries while swimming. Emergency services, including water and air personnel, led a thorough search.
But the body has not been found. Sorrento Beach and all other beaches along the Wanneroo coastline have been closed until at least 12pm Saturday.
Another shark attack happened Monday at Glenfield Beach north of Geraldton. A surfer was seriously injured in that attack.
The surfer is now in stable condition.
