A road rage report on the Barton Highway led to a late-night police pursuit. The pursuit ended with an 18-year-old man arrested in a stormwater drain.
Police found the white Mitsubishi Lancer after the report around 9:15pm on Sunday. When officers turned on emergency lights, the driver sped through a red light.
An hour later, police saw the vehicle leaving an address in Ainslie and tried to stop it. The driver refused to stop, starting a pursuit through residential areas.
During the chase, he allegedly drove without headlights and swerved onto the wrong side of the road. He also drove on pedestrian paths.
The vehicle's tyres went flat. The driver left the car and fled on foot.
Police found him in the drain. The Goulburn man was charged with breaking a family violence order, aggravated dangerous driving, and failing to stop for police.
