Woman pleads guilty to helping boyfriend flee after alleged murder
Teelah Cooper, 30, pleaded guilty to helping her boyfriend Ryan Sampson. He allegedly killed James Callahan.
A Newcastle woman admitted she helped her boyfriend escape after he allegedly murdered a man. Teelah Cooper, 30, pleaded guilty to helping him get away.
Cooper hid him and helped him stay hidden across Hamilton, Karuah and Raymond Terrace while he ran from police. The victim was 22-year-old James Callahan.
He was stabbed in November 2024. He died after making a comment about littering.
Sampson was arrested in Queensland and sent back to NSW. Cooper will appear in Newcastle District Court next month for sentencing.
