Burglars deliberately injure sheep in Tuggeranong raid, two die

Police are investigating a burglary and animal cruelty at a rural property near the Monaro Highway in Tuggeranong. Multiple offenders came on Wednesday evening.
They used dogs to round up eight sheep. They moved them into a holding pen.
Inside the pen, the sheep were deliberately hurt. One died.
Another had to be put down because it was so badly hurt. The house was also broken into and ransacked, causing major disruption.
Police want to hear from anyone who saw something unusual on Wednesday evening on the eastern side of the Monaro Highway. This was between the paintball facility and Johnson Drive roundabout.
They also want to know about a late-1990s or early-2000s grey Mazda hatchback or sedan seen in the area.
