Buckley in mix as Brisbane Lions hunt Fagan replacement
Nathan Buckley is being considered by the Brisbane Lions to replace Chris Fagan as head coach.
Brisbane is considering approaching Nathan Buckley about joining their process to find a new head coach after Chris Fagan stepped down with a year remaining on his contract. Buckley, who coached Collingwood for ten seasons between 2012 and 2021 and reached the 2018 Grand Final, is currently an assistant at Geelong.
Buckley played one season at the Brisbane Bears 33 years ago and won the Rising Star Award that year. Buckley missed out on head coach roles at both Tasmania and North Melbourne this year.
Lions head of football Danny Daly and assistant coach Cam Bruce are also expected to be considered.
