Man United prodigy JJ Gabriel requests exit from club
Manchester United's 15-year-old forward JJ Gabriel has asked to leave the Premier League club.
Joseph Junior Andreou Gabriel, known as JJ Gabriel or 'Kid Messi', has requested to leave Manchester United after joining the club at age 11. Gabriel made his first senior appearance in a friendly against Atletico Madrid last month and recently scored a hat-trick on his UEFA Youth League debut.
Gabriel was expected to make his competitive debut in the Carabao Cup but has now asked to exit. Gabriel won United's Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year award last season and was described by United legend Ryan Giggs as a "generational talent".
If he leaves, analysts say it would be comparable to Barcelona losing Lionel Messi before he played for them.
