Woman remanded over fatal road rage reversal
Melinda Jane Avison, 41, was denied bail after allegedly reversing into and killing Trevor Gordon Fleet, 73, in a road rage incident.
Avison appeared in bail court on Thursday. Avison was charged with manslaughter.
The incident happened on August 31 near the Princes Highway in Bega, NSW. Police say the pair had an argument.
Avison reversed her silver Holden SUV into Fleet. Fleet was taken to South East Regional Hospital in serious condition.
He died a day later. Detectives spent a month investigating.
They carried out search warrants on Wednesday. They took the vehicle and other evidence.
Avison was arrested and taken to Bega Police Station. Her lawyer did not apply for bail.
Bail was formally refused. The matter returns to court on December 15.
