Oli Roberts, 11, gets his wish to see real snow after years of chemo
Oli marked five years since his last treatment on June 13, and his mum says he is officially cured.
Oli Roberts was diagnosed with a blood cancer called acute lymphoblastic leukaemia at two and a half. Oli spent three and a half years on chemo.
Oli's immune system was wiped out, so he was not allowed to visit playgrounds, pools or fun parks. Through every hospital visit, Oli held onto one dream: to see real snow.
Make-A-Wish Australia and Telethon made the wish come true with a trip to Mount Hotham in Victoria. The highlight was his first go on a snowboard, and his mum says he was a pro by the end.
On June 13, Oli marked five years since finishing his last treatment. Oli is now 11, and his mum says he is officially cured.
