Socceroos captain Maty Ryan is left out of the squad for Brazil matches on September 25 and 29.
Maty Ryan came off the bench in the World Cup penalty shootout against Egypt but has missed selection for Australia's two-game series in Townsville and Brisbane later this month. The goalkeeper has been playing regularly for Spanish club Levante this season, keeping two clean sheets.
Coach Tony Popovic is looking ahead to the Asian Cup in January. Patrick Beach returns as the clear first choice, alongside Paul Izzo, with Jacob Chapman called up to camp for the first time.
