Man critical after stabbing outside Langwarrin home during car theft
A 41-year-old fighting for life was stabbed outside his home after confronting teenagers trying to break into a car.
A man is in critical condition at the Alfred Hospital after being stabbed with wounds to his upper body in Langwarrin early Saturday morning. Police say the 41-year-old was stabbed outside his home on Govan Street at 12:20am when he confronted a group attempting to break into a vehicle.
Paramedics with intensive care training arrived and transported him to hospital. Two 16-year-old boys were arrested around 4am; both remain to be questioned.
Police are still searching for a third teenager. Residents described the street as family-friendly and close-knit, shocked by the violence.
