WA police officer pleads guilty to assaulting five-week-old daughter
A WA Police officer has pleaded guilty to aggravated common assault against his five-week-old daughter in Stratton.
A 30-year-old WA Police constable pleaded guilty to assaulting his five-week-old daughter. The assault happened on September 12 in Stratton, in Perth's east.
The child was taken to Perth Children's Hospital as a precaution. The officer, Nickolas Wayne Peake, has been stood down from operational duties.
He was placed under protective bail conditions. These conditions prevent him from seeing his wife and child.
His lawyer told the court he is living with his parents in South Yunderup. He intends to move closer to Midland to attend Department of Child Protection appointments.
