Jayne Hrdlicka leads retail drinks and hospitality company Endeavour Group and is fighting Noosa Shire Council in court over plans for her property at 3 Allambi Rise, Noosa Heads. The proposal would replace the current home with a three-level luxury mansion including an infinity pool, gym and wine cellar.
The property was listed for $16.9 million two years ago. Council rejected the plans in 2025, calling it overdevelopment with extensive excavation.
They said removing native vegetation would harm views from Main Beach. Hrdlicka's legal team argues the design meets planning codes and will enhance local architectural character.
A judge previously said the council was impeding development. The trial began Monday with a site visit and is expected to run six days.
Expert witnesses will present testimony this week.
