Don Allen has cycled 19km from Koroit to Warrnambool to work every day since 1993.
At 62, Don Allen still rides his bike to work each morning. He started this routine in 1993, when his family could only afford one car.
Don Allen bought a used bike for about $100. He has cycled 19 kilometres from Koroit to Warrnambool ever since, rain or shine.
A serious accident in 2010 tested his commitment. Going 40kmh down Tower Hill, he hit a piece of wood.
It stuck in his forks and spokes, flipping him over. Don Allen apparently lay unconscious for about 30 minutes.
A passing motorist found him. Don Allen spent five days in intensive care.
He spent five weeks recovering in hospital. He missed six weeks of riding his bike.
His family has caught the cycling bug too. His son rides to work in Adelaide.
His daughters use e-bikes with baby seats. His wife now joins him on trail rides.
