Two injured in falls during shopping centre police chase
A 36-year-old man and police officer were injured after falling several metres during a foot chase at Browns Plains shopping centre.
Police approached a 36-year-old man walking through a carpark at Browns Plains on Thursday afternoon. The man fled on foot and jumped over a wall, falling several metres.
A police officer chasing him also fell during the pursuit. The man was hospitalised with head injuries and the officer with a shoulder injury.
The officer has since been discharged. Police searched a nearby vehicle they believed was connected to the incident.
The Ethical Standards Command is overseeing investigations.
