Woman tasered by police after stabbing man at Sydney cinema
A 26-year-old woman was charged with wounding a 48-year-old man in a random stabbing outside a cinema in Sydney's inner-west.
A man was stabbed in the hand outside Dendy Newtown cinema on King Street Monday morning. A 26-year-old woman armed with a knife carried out the random attack.
When police arrived and ordered her to drop the weapon, she refused and was tasered. The man was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in stable condition.
The woman was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, being armed with intent, and resisting police. She was refused bail and is to appear in court.
