Driver airlifted after crashing into tree on Main Neerim Road

A 29-year-old was airlifted to hospital after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Main Neerim Road early Saturday.

A Toyota Hilux towing a trailer crashed into a tree early Saturday around 5:30am. The crash happened on Main Neerim Road, near Myers Road, about 90 kilometres east of Melbourne.

The 29-year-old driver was thrown from the vehicle on impact. The driver suffered life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics airlifted him to hospital in stable condition. Police want anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

They also want anyone who saw the crash to contact them.
