Nursing home volunteer arrested after allegedly attacking staff with knife
An 85-year-old volunteer allegedly attacked a female staff member with a stanley knife at an aged care facility in Seaton, near Adelaide.
Police went to St Hilarion Residential Care and Nursing Home in Seaton near Adelaide around 9.30am on Friday. An 85-year-old volunteer was arrested after allegedly attacking a female staff member in her 60s.
The staff member went to Royal Adelaide Hospital with injuries to her neck that were not life-threatening. The volunteer also went to hospital with injuries to his neck and arms that he caused himself.
Police found a stanley knife at the scene. Police said the incident was not random.
No charges have been laid. Investigations are ongoing.
