Police seek pair who stole tools in rural break-in
Two people broke into a Mount Fairy property near Queanbeyan on 27 July and stole electrical tools.
A masked man and a woman broke into a house and shed at Goulburn Road, Mount Fairy, about 40 km east of Queanbeyan, at about 1:30 am on 27 July 2026. The CCTV footage shows the woman acting as a lookout near the shed door while the man rummaged through equipment.
When he spotted a security camera, he grabbed it. Electrical tools and equipment were stolen.
Police describe the man as slim, with an Australian accent, wearing a light hooded jumper and tracksuit pants. The woman is of medium build with light-coloured hair, also wearing a light hooded jumper and long pants.
Both are described as Caucasian and aged between 25 and 30. Officers are asking anyone with information, dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
