Teenager hospitalised with serious burns in Melbourne fire
A teenage boy with serious burns was rushed to hospital after three cars caught fire in Melbourne's north-west.
A teenager is in serious condition at Royal Children's Hospital after being found amid burning cars in Taylors Hill, Melbourne, just after 5am on Sunday. Paramedics treated the boy for upper and lower body burns.
Several cars were parked in a nearby house's driveway; a third was on a street corner. Police believe the fire was a targeted attack.
The homeowner told ABC they had seen a white car outside their house several times before and had confronted the driver, but did not know what the person wanted. Neighbours helped: a neighbour who wanted to be known only as Joe said he used his garden tap to try to help the injured teenager.
The stolen white car was found nearby with fire damage.
