Gosta the narcoleptic puppy teaches millions via viral TikTok videos
A 15-week-old Swedish cocker spaniel with narcolepsy has attracted millions of TikTok views, educating viewers about the rare condition.
Gosta collapsed on the car ride home from his breeder at nine weeks old. The tiny black-and-white puppy had narcolepsy with cataplexy, a rare condition that causes sudden sleep and loss of muscle control.
Now his Swedish family are posting videos of him playing, running and eating before he suddenly keels over. Within days, one video reached about 1.6 million views.
His TikTok account has since attracted thousands of followers leaving messages of support. But Gosta's owners say the goal is not cute content-it is to help people understand what narcolepsy actually looks like.
