Two gunmen still on the run after Hamilton Hill shooting
Police continued searching for two possible gunmen after a Sunday shooting in Hamilton Hill wounded a 37-year-old in the stomach.
A 37-year-old man was shot in the stomach near Yongka Road and Karda Way in Hamilton Hill on Sunday morning at about 4.35am. Police were investigating to locate two possible gunmen who fled the scene.
Police released CCTV footage showing four men meeting at a cul-de-sac before the shooting. Detectives said the victim and the gunmen were likely known to each other and described the attack as targeted and isolated, lasting only seconds.
Police said there was no ongoing threat to the public and nothing to suggest links to outlaw motorcycle gangs or tobacco disputes. The victim was treated at Royal Perth Hospital.
The serious and organised crime division is seeking information and witnesses.
