11-year-old dies after shooting at Norwest unit
Boy shot in face Monday at Norwest home, died in hospital Thursday evening.
Police were called to a Norwest unit on Monday evening and found an 11-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his face and neck. The boy was taken to hospital in critical condition but died Thursday evening.
Five other people in the unit were not injured. Three 18-year-olds were arrested; one, Isaac Bechara, 18, has been charged with concealing a serious indictable offence and refused bail.
Police are investigating whether those present had links to organised crime. The firearm has not yet been recovered.
