Perth petrol jumps 18 cents as fuel excise cuts end
Unleaded fuel in Perth jumped 18 cents to average $2.30 a litre after temporary excise relief expired.
Perth's average unleaded price climbed this morning to $2.30 a litre, up 18 cents. Diesel also jumped to $2.66 a litre.
The rises follow the end of temporary fuel excise cuts on August 2, which were reducing prices by around 53 cents per litre. The cuts were not extended despite global oil price spikes.
Cheapest unleaded across the metro area sits at Vibe Kwinana at $2.02 a litre, followed by Kalamunda at $2.05 and Wanneroo at $2.03. Drivers are urged to shop around using the Fuel Watch website.
