Teen charged with murder for drone role in Sydney shooting
An 18-year-old has been charged with murder for providing drone surveillance during a mistaken-identity killing in Sydney.
An 18-year-old was arrested in West Hoxton and charged with murder. The teenager allegedly used a drone to watch the shooting unfold.
Joshua Macdonald, 40, was killed. Macdonald was an innocent tradesman.
The shooting happened in daylight outside a home in Merrylands West on September 2. Police believe the gang meant to kill a member of the Alameddine crime family.
Instead, they killed Macdonald by mistake. This is the seventh person killed by mistake in gang violence over 18 months.
